Welcome to Wild Chicken, a delightful café nestled in the scenic Miyagase Lakeside Park, located in Kiyokawa, Kanagawa. This charming café offers an exquisite dining experience against the backdrop of breathtaking views of Lake Miyagase, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and food enthusiasts alike.

The essence of Wild Chicken lies in its commitment to providing a uniquely Japanese culinary experience, featuring dishes such as the highly recommended Okayodon and the delectable cheesecakes that carry an authentic black sesame flavor. Diners can relish in a cozy atmosphere, choosing between traditional tatami seating indoors or enjoying the fresh air outdoors—both offer mesmerizing views of the lake, enhancing your meal with a refreshing ambiance.

Many visitors, like Dheeraj Negi, have expressed their gratitude for the stunning vistas, highlighting it as the best view among nearby eateries. Cory Martin (Tommy Suzuka) emphasizes not only the beautiful setting but also the delicious food that makes the mini adventure to reach the café worth it. Although it requires a short walk after cycling, the café’s bike-friendly amenities, including parking and a dog-friendly environment, ensure a warm welcome for cycling enthusiasts and their furry companions.

A recent review by one of our guests compliments the cheesecake; it’s impressively rich in black sesame flavor, offering a unique twist that leaves a lasting impression. Customers are also charmed by the menu's approach, which encourages a self-service system, allowing you to enjoy your meal at your own pace. This blend of traditional Japanese dining experience and accessibility makes it a standout destination.

If you’re planning a visit, not to be missed is the oyako don, a hearty and flavorful dish that pairs perfectly with the café's serene lakeside views. For those who might want something lighter, the restaurant’s gelato provides a sweet reprieve. The café's support of local cyclists and dog owners contributes to its inclusive atmosphere, inviting everyone to enjoy the tranquility of nature while indulging in delightful culinary offerings.

Whether you're setting off from nearby Tachikawa or Hachioji, a visit to Wild Chicken promises not only delectable food but an enchanting escape into nature. Don’t miss your chance to unwind, dining amidst the lap of lakeside beauty, and make sure to capture a few stunning photos while you're there!

Located inside Miyagase Lakeside park and it truly has the best view of the lake among nearby restaurants. The restaurant has inside(traditional seating)+ outside seating. This time we tried only the gelato but will definitely visit again to try other things in their menu.

Beautiful location with a slightly traditional feel. Makes for a great bike ride if you’re coming from the Tachikawa or Hachioji area. The only issue is the final stretch by bike. Once you get to the small road way that the cafe is on you have to walk the bike the rest of the way. The so thankfully have bike parking though. Worth the trip as the food is delicious. Highly recommend the Okayodon.

Advertised as a cycling cafe… YES! This cafe is overlooking Lake Miyagase. The good: bicycle friendly parking, excellent customer service and food, dog friendly (with walking park), indoor and out door seating. The bad: poor posted directions from the main area to the cafe and approximately a 10 minute walk. There are posted signs prohibiting cycling to the cafe and Miyagase Staff members WILL enforce this rule by “politely” informing you. The only reason for a 4 star is due to the accessibility to the cafe. Other than that, knowing what to expect, I would recommend and return to this establishment.

Excellent oyako don, with a very pleasant lakeside view, and a dog run for dog owners

Everything on the menu we tried from omakase meat platter to ramen, tebasaki and curry was delicious. We went on a sunny Sunday afternoon and only 3-4 people were eating in the restaurant. Would recommend as we could fit a large family of five around table.
